Dr Asif Nazrul is the Professor of Law in Dhaka University and a constitutional expert who brings the understanding of legal practices to general people. Dr Nazrul is also a political analyst. Recently he came to the USA to attend a seminar on Bangladesh Development and the vision about the country in 20th century .
In an exclusive interview with VOABangla Asif Nazrul expressed his optimism about Bangladesh and its potentialities. Talking about the changes in Bangladesh, hesaid that some positive changes have come to Bangladesh but they are not simply enough to undothe old culture of political intolerance .
Professor Nazrul also feels that a partial reform has come in Bangladesh through the birth of a number of democratic organizations but regrets that democracy within the party has not come. He, however, thinks that leaders of the major parties will always have this issue in front of them, particularly the issue of change in the leadership. He thinks change in that regard will also come sooner or later.
