Dr. Nurullah Awal is a Humphrey Fellowship Program participant at Tulane University in New Orleans, USA.
In Bangladesh Dr. Awal is a Public Health Specialist working for ORBIS, Bangladesh. ORBIS is an international organization serving in six countries around the world including Bangladesh, helping to save people’s sight worldwide.
Since its first program in 1982, the ORBIS flying eye hospital has travelled in more than 70 countries and saved the sight of millions of people. By training local doctors and eye care workers, who in turn teach their colleagues, ORBIS, an international nonprofit humanitarian organization - is strengthening the capabilities of local health care communities in blindness prevention and treatment.
