Asian Development Bank (ADB) has projected a slow growth in GDP in FY2010 in Bangladesh. ADB in its latest Quarterly Economic Update (QEU) projected that gross domestic product growth will slow down to 5.2 per cent in FY2010 because of the continuing effects of the global economic slowdown.
Earlier Bangladesh government had projected GDP growth of 6 per cent.
ADB also predicted the rise of inflation from 2.3 to 6.7 per cent. ADB has also given a negative picture in the area of investment.
