Indian forces say they have killed four Islamic militants in two separate gunbattles in disputed Kashmir territory.
Security officials said (Saturday) Indian forces killed two suspected militants in the northern district of Baramulla, north of Srinagar, the territory's main city. Another two suspected militants were killed in the Bagdam area, southwest of Srinagar.
On Friday, Indian security forces said they uncovered a hideout of a hard-line Lashkar-e-Taiba Islamic militant group in the Baramulla area. They said troops recovered explosive devices, detonators, hand grenades and other arms and ammunition.
