Sheikh Hasina , the former Prime Minister and six others where granted bail in an alleged corruption case while buying MIG 29 for Bangladesh Airforce. Sheikh Hasina later said that she accepted the lowest bid price for the planes and her intention was to bring modernity and strength into Bangladesh Airforce .
In another development , the Opposition in the Parliament in Bangladesh walked out thrice on Sunday. First they walked out when the government introduced a bill in the Jatiya Sangsad yesterday, seeking indemnity for all actions including deaths and tortures during the recent army-led anti-crime drive across the country.The opposition terms the bill unconstitutional. Awami League , the main opposition party in Bangladesh staged walk out when Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan presented his statement on his US trips where he accused , without naming anyone , the internal elements who brought in this problem for Bangladesh. The opposition Awami League also walked out in protest of the opposition leader' Sheikh Hasina's microphone being switched off.
