Awami League ( AL), the main Opposition Party in Bangladesh , has called an eight hour General Strike in protest of the death of two of their members who were also the members of Ziaul Ulum Madrasah in Hathhazari , Chittagong. They were killed on last Wednesday. Mr Ataur Rahman Kaiser, one of the Presidium members , announced a 5 day protest program including the General Strike, which is widely known in Bangladesh as Hartal.
