According to government statistics the number of AIDS patients in Bangladesh is about 375. However some of the international organizations claim that the number is between 13 to 20 thousands. Two experts on AIDS Dr. Nazrul Islam and Major General Dr. Matiur Rahman talked to VOA about the AIDS situation in Bangladesh. They are concerned that the neighboring countries have extremely high number of AIDS patients and that Bangladesh has a high risk.
