Surya Bahadur Thapa, Prime Minister of Nepal, who is also the chairperson of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) has met in Dhaka with the Prime Minister Khaleda Zia of Bangladesh. During their meeting they discussed on various bilateral and regional issues including water management and water distribution, free trade and transportation.Both the Prime Ministers agreed on further meetings of their officials on Free Trade Arrangements between these two countries. Bangladeshi Prime Minister emphasised on having tri-partite talks, which should include India, on water management and water distribution. Begum Zia also reiterated that SAARC should only discuss regional issues and not the bilateral ones. Mr Thapa is on a three-day visit to Bangladesh
