The 100th birth anniversary of the legendary Bengali folk poet Jasimuddin begins in Kolkata . Scholars from both Bangladesh and West Bengal participated in the program and paid their tributes despite the debate whether the poet was born in 1903 or 1904 .Amongst those who spoke were Professor Rafiqul Islam and Professor Selina Bahar Zaman from Bangladesh.
