Bangladeshi police say an explosion in a crowded Muslim shrine in the northeastern city of Sylhet has killed at least two people and wounded at least 30 others.
The blast, believed to be caused by a bomb, occurred late today (Monday) at the ancient shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal. Police say thousands of worshippers were inside the shrine to mark the anniversary of his death more than 650 years ago.
No one claimed responsibility for the blast, which sparked panic. Police say the death toll is likely to rise. Bangladesh authorities are investigating.
