Opposition Awami League Leader Sheikh Hasina's motorcade came under attack in Barisal. She was travelling to Barisal to address a public meeting. It is alleged that the ruling BNP activists attacked Awami League President Sheikh Hasina's motorcade at Charkawa ferry ghat in Barisal town on Thursday. Fifty people were injured in these incidents but Awami League claims that at least two hundred people were injured. Opposition leader claimed that BNP men also prevented engine boats and launches carrying rally-bound passengers from anchoring at terminals and even riverbanks. Passengers were also beaten up.BNP , however, denies these allegations.
