In this interview, Mr Amitav Chakrabarti, spokesman, Indian Ministry of Defense, explains the importance of purchase of British Hawk training fighter jets for Indian Airforce. He said that after purchasing one-third of the plane, hawks will be produced in India. The spokesman stressed that India does not depend on any country for the defense needs and try to use best alternativessuited to her own needs.
