The police on Sunday raided the headquarters of Proshika Manabik Unnayan Sangstha, one of the largest non-government organisations in Bangladesh, and confiscated a number of files and documents. The raid came two days after the main opposition Awami League’s April 30 deadline to overthrow the government expired. The authorities suspect that the NGO was behind the opposition plot to topple the government by the end of April.
