Visiting US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of South Asian Affairs Torkel L. Patterson said that US is ready to help Bangladesh in the pursuit of democracy. He said “democracy is not free, democracy is fragile and if you don’t take care of democracy then you risk losing democracy”. He urged the opposition and ruling party to work together for the benefit of the people of Bangladesh. He also expressed his concerns about the lack of progress in the investigation of August 21st grenade attack.
