The Supreme Court has ordered to quash the allotment of a plot of land in Salt Lake, by Jyoti Basu to Justice B.P. Banerjee. Jyoti Basu had allotted the plot from his discretionary quota, as the chief minister, to the former judge of the Kolkata high court, B. P. Banerjee.
