Bush Says He Regrets Making Certain Blunt  Statements

President Bush says he regrets making certain blunt statements about terrorism and the war in Iraq. In an interview being broadcast on ABC television Friday, the President said he should have been more cautious about phrases like "bring 'em (them) on," which he used in mid-2003 when speaking about insurgents in Iraq. He said his statement about wanting to capture Osama bin-Laden "dead or alive" after the September 11th (2001) terrorist attacks was "not the most diplomatic of language." The President also admitted his administration has done a poor job trying to improve America's image in the Muslim world. But he said U.S. efforts to help victims of last month's tsunami in South Asia would help boost the United States' image abroad.
