A university in the Indian state of Rajasthan has honored four stalwarts from West Bengal. A honororay D.lit degree was awarded to industrialist Ramaprasad Goyenka , former army chief Shankar Roy Chowdhury and scientist M J K Menon. A special degree has also been awarded to the former Chief Minister , a senior member of the CPM politburo, Jyoti Basu.
