The late Ray Charles has won the Record of the Year award for his duet with singer Norah Jones for the song "Here We Go Again" at the 47th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
The song was featured on Charles's last studio album "Genius Loves Company," a series of duets with fellow singers. The song earlier won the Best Pop Collaboration award, and the album has won a total of seven Grammies. It is also up for the prestigious Album of the Year prize.
Other winners include singer-songwriter John Mayer, who won Song of the Year award for writing the song "Daughters". The pop rock group Maroon 5 won the Best New Artist award, beating out widely-favored rapper Kanye West, as well as Los Lonely Boys, British soul singer Joss Stone, and country artist and self-proclaimed "Redneck Woman" Gretchen Wilson.
