Tania Tofail Haq is visiting USA under the International Visitor Leadership Program. The Department of State invited 12 women entrepreneurs from South Asia. She is one of the two women invited from Bangladesh.
Ms. Haq owns a handicraft business in Bangladesh. She and her husband started to work on the project when they were students working on their Masters in Marketing. Later, they invested more capital and the business flourished. Now they have 150 employees in their company. They contribute a portion of the company’s profit to the Acid Survivors Foundation.
Ms. Haq visited 5 different states and met people from different governmental and private organizations.
