The official Saudi Press Agency says King Fahd has been hospitalized, but is doing well after being admitted for medical tests. King Fahd entered the hospital Friday, fueling speculation that his already-poor health is deteriorating. Saudi officials denied reports that a state of alert had been declared for security forces in the kingdom. Officials with information on the king's condition told news agencies he has a lung infection, possibly pneumonia. King Fahd, believed to be 82 years old, has been in poor health since suffering a stroke in 1995. His half brother, Crown Prince Abdullah, has taken on many of the king's daily duties since the stroke, and is widely seen as Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler.
