Dr Syed Anwar Hossain , Professor of History, Dhaka University and Vice Chancellor, Al Ahsania University , an expert on Iran affairs says that allegations are being made on manipulating the voters by using government machineries in favor of the Conservative Candidate. He also criticizes the role of the Guardian Council saying ,however, that Islam does not approve of such manipulations. Professor Hossain says that he thinks even if Rafsanjani wins the Election , it'is highly unlikely that he would be able to bring in any changes.
