On the eve of the 92nd birthday of the veteran communist leader and the former Chief Minister of the Indian state of West Bengal Jyoti Basu’s, communist leaders in West Bengal are paying tributes to their leader. The transport minister Subhas Chakraborty compared Jyoti Basu to Mahatma Gandhi. He was speaking in Kolkata to the officers of the Fishing department. He said as a popular leader his place is next to Jyoti Basu.
