Islamic Fundamentalists in Bangladesh  Denounces  Links with Terrorism but are Silent about the Punishments

Matiur Rahman Nizami , the President of the Fundamentalist Islamic party , Jama’at-e-Islami a party in the present government has avoided answering the question whether he supports any actions against terrorist groups like Jamatul Mujahideen. He said that people who want to prove Bangladesh as a failed state must have done it. About Jamatul Mujahideen , Matiur Rahman Nizami says that these are the new parties but none of the old Islamic parties support terrorism. He says that his party has no links to any of these groups. He thinks that even people with traditional Islamic attire , if they are , in the group must have been playing in the hands of the enemies of Islam. Bahauddin , the editor of the Daily Inqilab says he is sure no Islamic group is linked with this attack. He says that such organized attacks could only be carried out either by foreign forces or by the agencies in the government. Islamic parties in Bangladesh held rallies in Dhaka claiming that Islamic parties have been deliberated targeted for condemnations and criticisms. Meanwhile several people have been arrested.
