In a report on Poverty alleviation in Bangladesh , World Bank has recommended that at least 5% growth will be required in the agricultural sector in Bangladesh , if the country wants to uplift the rural economy. In order to meet the Millennium Development Goals as enunciated by the United Nations , the Annual Economic Growth rate in Bangladesh should be 7 percent.
