Following an arrest of the Assistant Security Officer of the Parliament Belal Ansari , government in Bangladesh has decided to tighten the security in the national parliament. Belal Ansari is the member of now defunct Jamaatul Mujahideen, an extremist Islamic party which has been allegedly behind several bomb blasts in Bangladesh. Ansari confessed that they were planning to carry an operation inside the parliament. Prime Minister and other ministers were likely targets of the attack.The decision regarding the enhanced security was taken in a meeting presided over by Speaker Jamiruddin Sarkar.
