Hemayetuddin , the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh has had a number of meetings with the US officials in Washington during his first visit to the US since he became the foreign secretary of Bangladesh. Referring to his meeting with the Assistant Secretary for International Security Affairs at Pentagon Peter Rodman ,Mr Hemayetuddin said that the discussions have been fruitful and the US officials have expressed satisfaction on the existing relationship between the two countries. Mr Rodman praised the pro-active role of the Bangladeshi personnel in the UN Peace keeping mission. He also had a meeting with State department officials.
