Bangladeshi Lawmaker Expelled from Party: Vows Not to Bow to the Terrorists

On his expulsion from the ruling BNP, Abu Hena says that he is now doubly convinced that the Islamic Militants are working with the blessings of the four party alliance. In an exclusive comment to Voice of America, Hena said that he had just blamed a section of the government alliance for the militancy but now with the Prime Minister reacting against his stand against the Islamic militancy he has reasons to believe that they are working with the government’s connivance. On Thursday, BNP expelled its lawmaker Abu Hena from the party for his remarks against the rise of Islamist militants under the direct patronage of a section of the party and the government, terming his statement anti-organizational. The outspoken lawmaker from Rajshahi who recently in separate interviews with the media blamed a section of his party colleagues for patronizing the Islamist militants however will not lose his membership in parliament.
