Following the Grand Rally organized by Awami League led opposition parties in Bangladesh , the ruling BNP has been sending green signals to the opposition to discuss their demands raised in the 14-party rally. The opposition parties have also welcomed the suggestion of a dialogue but they want that the invitation should be specific and official. The opposition is keen on discussing their demands on reforming the caretaker government and the electoral system. A veteran journalist Ataus Samad analyzes the situation saying that agreeing to a dialogue is a good progress but there are miles to go yet.
