In an All India 66th History Congress held in Santiniketan , historians from India and Pakistan expressed their thoughts on sharing information on history. Questions like whether Akbar was really the first secular ruler of India or whether Nathuram was the real killer of Mahatma Gandhi have often been raised by historians. A history congress is perhaps the right place to raise questions and resolve issues.
A group of Pakistani professors visiting Santiniketan wanted the exchange of ideas between these two countries. The Vice Chancellor of Viswa Bharati said that this is exactly how Tagore wanted it to be.
