Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) will be setting up a cargo complex in Haldia.
The state government will also be building one in Kolkata for storing perishable agro products meant for export. The government has already discussed the plan to set up the cargo complex in Kolkata with the Kolkata Port Trust (KPT)and the APEDA.
Earlier in the day, APEDA signed an agreement with the state government in the presence of KPT officials for funding the upcoming cargo complex in Haldia.
