West Bengal Wants Flights to Kuala Lumpur to Resume

The West Bengal government in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is pitching in to resume services of the Kolkata-Kuala Lumpur flight, which was stopped a year ago.

Dato’ Ahmed Husni Hanadzlah, Malaysian deputy minister of international trade and industry — a member of the six-member trade delegation to Kolkata — met chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at the Writers’ Buildings on Monday. He was accompanied by Sanjay Budhia, chairman of CII’s trade sub-committee, eastern region.

Indo-Malaysia trade has been growing of late and West Bengal can be a vital destination for Malaysian investors, Budhia said.
