West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya says the initial work of the proposed steel plant in West Medinipur will be completed by year 2011.
The managing director of the Jindal Group Sajjan Jindal met him at the Secretariat.
Mr Bhattacharya says Jindal Group will initially invest 100 billion Indian Rupee.
