A Dhaka court today handed down a 10-year rigorous prison sentence to controversial businessman Giasuddin Al Mamun for keeping unlicensed firearms and ammunition at his residence.
Judge Mohammad Abul Bashar of the First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court pronounced the verdict.
Earlier, Mamun was given a three-year imprisonment for not submitting wealth statement to the Anti-Corruption Commission within the stipulated timeframe.
