Chattra League activists protested Sheikh Hasina’s arrest and clashed with police. Four activists were arrested for vandalizing during demonstrations. The government’s Law and Information Advisor, Barrister Mainul Hosein said 13 cases will be filed against Hasina.
Meanwhile, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Anwar Choudhury urged the caretaker government to follow the due process of law in dealing with former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in custody.
The High Commissioner noted that it is important to ensure due process and he hoped that the case against Hasina will be solved quickly.
