Professor Anwar Hossain said that as the General Secretary of Dhaka University Teachers Association and as a guardian of students, he apologizes to all ranks and file from Bangladesh Army for the attack on security officials and uniformed army personnel.
Professor Anwar Hossain, also the Dean of Bioscience, said this to the newsmen while being taken to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, in Dhaka.
He also said that this military was not the same as the Pakistani army in 1971. He expressed hope that this would end the matter here.
