Whether two major political parties can do without the their present leaders is a question which is often hardly debated. The two former prime ministers , Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia are now imprisoned for their alleged corruptions.
Dr Kamal Hossain , an eminent jurist and the head of another political party Gono Forum said on Saturday that the country of 140 million people should be able to find alternative leaders. BNP and Awami League leaders differed with him.
Brigadier (Retired) Hannan Shah said he does not understand why now the two leaders have to be removed. The Organizing Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Manna said that there is no point in doing away with the leaders. But Manna also said that the alternatives could also be found .
