Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines (CEA) has announced the launch of direct flights between Kolkata and Kunming, the capital of the Chinese province of Yunnan.
The direct services between the two cities will be available thrice a week, beginning October 30. Kunming is known for its tourist attractions. Meanwhile, airline officials said that the airline is also eyeing major Indian cities like Mumbai and Bangalore for links with Chinese metros, such as Shanghai.
