Dr Kamal Hossain, a prominent jurist in Bangladesh and a former foreign minister of Bangladesh said that the national leaders of Bangladesh who were killed while in prison in 1975 following the August coup were pride for Bangladesh.
Kamal Hossain paid rich tributes to Tajuddin Ahmed, Syed Nazrul Islam, Mansoor Ali and AHM Qamruzzaman for the brilliant role they had played during the war of liberation in 1971. He praised their roles in uniting the entire nation while in exile and bringing the battle to a successful and victorious conclusion.
In an exclusive interview over phone with VOA Bangla Service , on the 32nd anniversary of the Jail-Killing, Dr Kamal Hossain deplored the fact that the perpetrators of the jail killings have not been punished yet. He held responsible the governments which succeeded after the 3rd November killing and attributed this to a sort of sick politics.
He said now that various reforms are being taken, people of Bangladesh demand that the criminals who were behind the conspiracy to kill the national leaders of Bangladesh as well as those who actually executed the murder.
