Bangladesh Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed on Wednesday said that the main objective of the caretaker government is to hold a free, fair and acceptable election and transfer power to the elected government, which will definitely take place as per the announced roadmap.
He made the comments when he was speaking to the chief reporters of both the print and electronic media at his office. He said the government is extending all-out support to the EC to hold elections. The Chief Adviser said that since the Election Commission has already started dialogues with political parties on electoral rules and reforms, he does not feel that it is now necessary to hold dialogues with political parties.
