Students of Dhaka University on Saturday continued their demonstrations on the campus demanding unconditional release of the detained university teachers and a student.
A new group called 'Students against repression', brought out a silent procession from Aparajeyo Bangla at 11:00am and paraded the campus.
About 1,000 students along with the activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), participated in it. On Saturday again, teachers of Rajshahi University formed a human chain on the campus demanding immediate release of the 10 convicted RU students and the detained DU teachers and a student.
The recently freed RU teachers also participated in the human chain in front of the central library. They also demanded that the government must withdraw the cases against both the RU and DU students.
