Dr. Halida Akhter, Founder and Director of Society for Health Promotion Links (SHPL) received the 2006 United Nations Population Award for her outstanding work in population and in improving the health and welfare of individuals in Bangladesh.
She is internationally recognized for her work dedicated to betterment of women’s health and welfare.
