Former journalist and policy expert Amjad Hossain, in this exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, analyses the probable scenario of the nomination process of the Democratic Party after North Carolina and Indiana primaries.
He says that neither Senator Hillary Clinton nor Senator Barack Obama have been able to secure the required number of pledged delegates in their favor. Hence the voters are concerned that eventually the responsibility of nominating a presidential candidate would lie on the super-delegates.
However, despite the concerns , he says, Both Senator Hillary and Senator Obama have said that whoever is nominated finally , the other person would support the nomination and the democrats would remain united unlike the events in 1968.
