There is turbulence in the civil aviation industry in India with at least two private airlines - Jet Air and Kingfisher - deciding to terminate services of employees on probation.
The economic recession has cut air travel resulting in increasing loss for the airlines. Trade unions are not taking the termination notices without resistance. They have threatened to launch unrest against the airlines management.
