British sate minister for Asia, Africa and the United Nations visited Bangladesh. It was a two day visit.
Brutish
minister Mark Malloch Brown said that the two major parties should join the
"crucial" December 18 elections even if the emergency rules continued
until then.
Mr. Brown had talks with senior government leaders including Chief Adviser Dr
Fakhruddin Ahmed, leaders of Awami League and BNP, Election Commission and
Anti-Corruption Commission, the army chief and civil society and rights groups
activists.
