Bangladesh plans to issue machine readable passports from July of 2009. Bangladesh Planning Minister A K Khandaker said that after April, 2010, no one will be allowed to travel without a readable passport.
He told reporters that the International Civil Aviation Authority has stipulated that all countries introduce machine readable passports (MRP) and visas (MRV) by Apr, 2010.
