BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia sent a legal notice to Bangladesh government responding to the government's notice to vacate her Dhaka Cantonment residence.
Khaleda Zia's lawyer sent the notice giving the government five days to withdraw its notice to vacate.
Earlier, the government served the notice, asking Begum Zia to leave the Moinul Road mansion within 15 days.
The cabinet had made the decision to cancel the lease on the place given to Begum Zia after the 1981 murder of her husband, army-chief-turned-president Ziaur Rahman.
