Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for New York on Monday to attend the 64th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session beginning on September 23.
The Prime Minister is will hold an important meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and attend a luncheon that he will be hosting for the heads of states and governments on September 23.
The Bangladesh premier will also attend a summit level meeting of the US and heads of state or government of the top troops and police contributing countries to the UN Peace Keeping Operations at the UN and join a reception to be hosted by US President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The Prime Minister will address Plenary of the General Assembly on September 26 focusing on the adverse impact of climate change, world economic recession and transition to democracy in Bangladesh.
