Prime minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated
US President Barak Obama on his winning the Nobel Peace Prize 2009.
"The
prime minister in this congratulatory message has said that Barak Obama has
played an unprecedented role in bringing world peace and mutual intimacy between
different races, tribes and beliefs," Abul Kalam Azad, the prime minister's
press secretary, told journalists.
Hasina in her message lauded Obama's
extraordinary diplomatic steps to develop relations with the Muslim world.
"President Obama has enlivened everyone to develop a beautiful future
for the next generations."
Obama will play, Hasina hoped, a more
resolute and effective role in establishing world peace, ridding poverty and
overall development of the underdeveloped countries in the future.
