Dr. Nazma Kabir is the Programs Director for LEPRA Health in Action in Colchester, Essex, UK.
Nazma Kabir joined LEPRA Health in Action on 6th April 2009 as their Programs Director. She gained her PhD in Medical Nutrition from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
As Programs Director, Dr. Kabir has the opportunity to contribute to LEPRA Health in Action’s objectives of eradicating leprosy and controlling allied diseases, such as tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, lymphatic filariasis, Helminthes and malaria. She is responsible for managing the Programs Team in the UK, as well as the Country Directors of overseas programs. As a member of the senior management team, Dr. Kabir hopes to contribute to overall program development of LEPRA Health in Action.
Before joining LEPRA, Dr. Kabir had spent four years as the Regional Director for South Asia and the Caribbean region for Sightsavers International.
