On Tuesday, singer and politician Kabir Suman wants to quit the Trinamool Congress and the Lok Sobha saying that he refuses to be a slave of the party.
Kabir Suman told the media that his party should not have tried to dictate him on how to spend his MPS’ local area development fund (MPLAD). He said it is the people’s right to dictate him, not the party’s. He claims that some party leaders tried to stop him from implementing development projects.
He also attacked Mamata Banerjee, the chief executive of Trinamool Congress, and mentioned how she and others put restrictions in his way insulting him repeatedly. He was accused of being pro-Maoist, and these issues altogether have caused him to want to quit the party.
